May 31, 2026, Nvidia officially introduced the new Vera chip (full name Vera Agentic Processor) at a special technical launch event. Extremely high memory bandwidth: single-chip offering over 12TB/s of HBM3e memory bandwidth, designed for agents to maintain massive context over long-duration tasks.
Dynamic sparse compute units: support for efficient conditional execution and branch prediction, significantly reducing wasted computation on complex decision paths.
Native multi-agent interconnect: built-in high-bandwidth chip-to-chip interconnect (NVLink 6.0), enabling a single node to efficiently support hundreds of agents collaborating in parallel.
Low-latency inference engine: inference latency about 65% lower than the Blackwell series, particularly suited to real-time interactive agent scenarios.

The Vera chip is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process, with single-card power consumption controlled between 450W and 650W. Initial products are planned for mass production in Q4 2026.

OpenAI and SpaceX Are First Adopters

Nvidia announced that OpenAI and SpaceX (including xAI) will be among Vera’s first strategic partners.

OpenAI will deploy Vera chips at scale in its next-generation GPT-5.5 Agent system to build more powerful, longer-lived autonomous agent clusters.
SpaceX plans to integrate Vera chips into Starlink ground stations and the Colossus supercluster to support orbital AI compute and autonomous control systems for Starship.
